A DESERT OF ONE'S OWN
Women Writing in New Mexico
A Forum at Barnes & Noble (Coronado Mall) November 6, 2004
Borrowing from Virginia Woolf the concept that a woman needs not only a room of her own in which to breathe freely and create, but that she may also choose the gifts of our desert landscape and writer-friendly lifestyle to feed her muse, the forum participants discussed the impact and influence of New Mexico on their writings, and their reasons for choosing this desert locale. Participating authors: Teresa Dovalpage, Sharon Niederman, Sarah Storme/S.H. Baker,
Jeannine Van Eperen,
Lisa Lenard-Cook,
Pari Noskin Taichert, Lisa Tucker, Michelle Miller Allen, and Zelda Gatuskin Sponsored by New Mexico WOMAN Magazine
